Sprint released their Samsung Galaxy S series phone, the Epic 4G on August 31st. The 4G capable handset will come with a $249.99 price tag ($100 mail-in rebate) and will be available in all Sprint retail channels, including Sprint.com, RadioShack, Best Buy and Walmart. Sprint will be opening their stores early that day, 8 a.m. local time.

The Epic 4G boasts some seriously impressive hardware with its 4-inch Super AMOLED display, sliding QWERTY, 1GHz Hummingbird processor, dual-cameras, and 16GB microSD card. Like many other Android devices, it also features support for WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, a proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor.
