Now, its time to check an interesting news for both TiVo Premier and non-TiVo customers having some updates and app rolled out. TiVo has finally released the first free Android remote application allows you to experience DVR on their Android-powered devices. Margret Schmidt,Vice President of TiVo User Experience has tweeted about the release of the new app:

The TiVo Android app arrives in the Android Market as well, rated as the four star with 32 reviews. The app description mentions to control TiVo DVRs from any Android 2.1+ phone or 7″ tablet.

Now you can search, browse, discover and share without ever interrupting the show you’re watching. Quickly surface new content, view guides, schedule and manage recordings, get recommendations, or dig deeper into a particular actor’s entire resume—all using intuitive, gesture-based interaction.

The Features of the Android app include: easily access to the channel guide and ability to record shows without exiting a running program, advanced screening of shows 14 days early, Netflix, Amazon, and Blockbuster streaming content in an integrated view, management and scheduling preferences for recordings, explore information on the cast and crew of the current show and comment and share information about the show on Facebook and Twitter.

Along with the app released, the software update to the TiVo Premiere DVR also adds multi-room streaming between TiVo boxes, updated guide and program info screens in proper HD, Hulu Plus search integration, and a few other new features.
