Android users can now use a new app to test network connections. The app called ThinkBroadband helps user select WiFi networks easier to connect and also details about how fast the connection in a particular network is. Users will also be able to test the speeds in 3G connectivity as well as WiFi, and doesn’t require the app to be hooked to a network to test the speed of connection.

To get ThinkBroadband app,

  • Sign up to ThinkBroadband first
  • Go to Settings in your smartphone
  • Select Applications menu
  • Select box for allowing downloads from unknown sources

ThinkBroadband app can display the results after checking the speed of the networks available, after which you can select the fastest network and establish the connection. The ThinkBroadband app is presently in the Beta mode and under development. But the Beta mode can still come in handy even for testing your home internet connection.
