Huawei has always shown interest in bringing in great features to its handsets and tablets. The company is now focusing on bringing OS updates to the popular tablet model, MediaPad.

Huawei announced that MediaPad tablet will soon have Android 4.0 update, which is known as Ice cream sandwich version. The MediaPad now runs in Android v3.2 Honeycomb operating system. The company plans to bring in Android 4.0 updates to other tablets and smartphones as well including Honor. ┬áThe MediaPad tablet has a high definition display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixel and supports full HD video playback. Along with a powerful dual core processor, the MediaPad tablet also holds a battery life of around 6 hours.

In addition to the OS update, new colors of the tablet will also be launched, offering black, pink and brown colors. The OTA upgrade to Android 4.0, ICS version is expected to happen soon in 2012.
