Canonical has surprised the industry experts by releasing a feature that could transform the Android smartphones to a dockable desktop computer. The company seems to have succeeded in including both the android as well as Ubuntu on to the same hardware. The feature has paved the way for the devices to work as two different machines in different modes.
- The smartphone acts as an android handset in the normal mode
- The smartphone once docked will act as an Ubuntu interface
- Users will also be able to see the smartphone screen getting displayed on the Monitor
The technology being used seems to be the new Unity interface that was built by Ubuntu for Android.
