Apparently, Huawei is on its way to making it big in the mobile phone market, recently unveiling its prized flagship handset, already popular by the name Huawei Ascend D Quad. As in the name, the handset has been reported to be sporting a powerful quad core processor, along with other major hardware. The Huawei ARM-based quad core processor goes well with the sleek handset which also comes with a 720p resolution 4.5 inch display.

The Huawei Ascend D Quad runs in the ICS version of Android OS, and its processor is reportedly more powerful and faster than the critically acclaimed NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. Another Huawei handset is the larger twin of the Ascend D Quad, named as Ascend D Quad XL, featuring quad core processor and a larger 2500 mAh battery. The Quad XL reportedly rivals the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note and LG Optimus Vu. The Huawei handsets will be out for sale in select regions, before mid 2012.
