Sony seems to have kept its word of a possible Android 4.0 upgrade for almost all its 2011 Xperia phones. Now the users can have early access of the beta software of the Sony devices that includes Xperia Arc S, Neo V and Ray. All the three devices now come with the official Ice Cream Sandwich ROM.

Any users can download and install it at their own risk even though it is only meant for the ‘Advanced Developers only’. But it has to be understood that users will have to unlock the Boot loader before installing the ROM. Users will have to follow the instructions in unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com. And the cons are that it will void the warranty of the user’s Sony device.

  • Users will have to head towards the source link
  • Then click on the ‘Download and Install’
  • Download the relevant files

It has to be noted that the older Arc as well as Neo phones are not supported for the Beta Releases.
