Google has rebranded its applications store, Android Market, as “Google Play”. This is not just a mere name change because Google now believes that Android Market is a digital entertainment destination. This means the Market will not just be a place for accessing applications but is now meant for games, movies, songs and books as well with an overall storage size of 4GB. A complete cloud-based service, Google Play will store all the music, movies and apps online.
The fresh new interface of Google Play will be accessible on all Android smartphones, Android tablets and the desktop browser. As the Android Market, Google Music and the Google eBookstore will become part of Google Play, users will have to upgrade the Android Market app to the Google Play Store app in the coming days to enjoy the never ending awesome features which the Android Market was known and loved for.
