Mobile gaming giants Gameloft have recently announced in their annual financial report a long list of upcoming titles which would soon be coming to our smartphones and tablets. Some of the upcoming games include:

  • The Dark Knight Rises (this one I’m most excited about)
  • Men in Black 3
  • Ice Age
  • The Avengers
  • The Amazing Spider-Man
  • Littlest Pet Shop
  • My Little Pony

Another huge announcement made by the company was that every game the studio releases for smartphones and tablets this year will be “heavily social” and will feature in-app purchases. Furthermore, the company plans to bring the free-to-play model to Java-powered feature phones. Gameloft has already released one such title and intends to unleash more in the future. While we will benefit from more free Gameloft titles to play, some people really dislike the in-game purchases that are available, not just from Gameloft but from most companies. At least most of Gameloft’s titles are fairly balanced when it comes to this sort of thing with most purchases being pretty much optional and not mandatory.

We’ll keep you further posted on these games as soon as they are closer to their launch date
