Another classical board game has made its digital debut. Skahal Studios have just released their first game, and that too a digital 3D remake of the all-time classic board game Battleships, titled Ships N’ Battles.

On the grid lined game of Battleships, the player’s main objective was to, through trial and error, finally locate the opponents vessel and to sink it with a missile. Battleships was developed during WWI between two players, and was at that time just a simple marine combat guessing game played with a paper and pencil. It was commercially released in1943 as a pencil and pad game and in 1967 as the board game that many will remember it as.

The player’s objective in Ships N’ Battles is the same as it was in the original game the only difference is that we now do that in a 3D world where our vessels are in a digital sea and there are mountains between our and the opponent’s vessels so we have no idea where they are, couple that with a multiplayer option with cross-platform gaming with iOS gamers and you are all set for the weekend. The additions to the original gameplay is the inclusion of 10 power ups which will change our perception of this classic game

Skahal Studios have developed Ships N’ Battles as a game with HD graphics, loud sound effects and decent controls with the original board game in mind and have so kept the essence of Battleships in the new digital version as well. If you’re a fan of Battleships then it is defiantly worthwhile to check this game out. It is available on the Google Play store for $0.99
