Samsung rumored to launch Galaxy Note 2 on August 15
We had recently posted about the upcoming Samsung Android devices to be released on August 15th and in that we had mentioned about the possible launch of the Galaxy Note 2. The rumor has now been confirmed by a source speaking to BGR. The source also mentioned that the phone would feature a 5.5-inch display in a body that is thinner and taller than the original Galaxy Note, which lines up with previous rumors we have heard about the device.
Rumours have suggested that the Galaxy Note 2 will come sporting the same Exynos 4412 processor that is found in the GALAXY S III, but clocked higher at 1.6GHz, but the screen resolution is believed to be the same at 1280 X 720 pixels. The device is thought to be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich , but will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in the coming months.
Initially we had heard the possibility of the Galaxy Note 2 making an appearance at the IFA show in Berlin, where Samsung will host an Unpacked event. Samsung usually reserves major launches in their flagship lines for such events at big international trade shows throughout the year. So we are still considering this one as a rumor ? If not then we wouldn’t be all too surprised to see the Galaxy Note 2 on August 15th
