Samsung and HTC  had launched the Galaxy S3 and One X as their respective flagship phones of 2012. Now its Sony’s turn to bring out its BIG GUN. According to a Sony fan blog Xperia Blog, Sony will be unveiling their power house of a device at the IFA trade show on 29th August.

The Sony LT29i previously rumored to be called “Hayabusa”, has been given a much more elegant name “TX”. This new smart phone is said to be the successor of their phone Sony Xperia T (LT30 Mint). The phone is said to have a 4. 6″ LED 720*1280 display. It boasts a pixel density of 336 ppi (pixels per inch), this means that it has left the retina display of the iPhone 4S in sm0ke. The phone also is said to have a dual core 1.5 Ghz Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon.

The thing which sets it apart from the other smart phones is the camera, its the first Android phone to have a 13 Mega Pixel camera.  Capable of  recording videos at 1080p with continuous auto focus, video light and video stabilizer. The phone also has a micro SD card slot, which would be really helpful considering the high resolution pics taken from the camera eating away at the memory. The phone also comes with a built in HDMI port, the phone will be launching with Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich, but will be expected to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update soon after its launch. Sony have been really quiet about its pricing

  1. A 13 MP shooter? Great! It’s nice to see Sony making phones with HD screens. Good post. Thanks.
