The Samsung Galaxy Music – Entertainment. Guaranteed.
Samsung Electronics announced today the launch of their upcoming range of Galaxy devices called ” The Galaxy Music” which as the name suggests, is targeted towards music lovers and also for those having a tight grip on their wallets if you know what I mean. These mid-price phones would be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (yeah even I was left a bit shell shocked as these small devices usually come pre-installed with ICS’s predecessor Gingerbread).
The Galaxy Music comes bundled with a 3” QVGA TFT display, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot capable for expanding the memory up to 32GB. Unfortunately, details about the processor were not yet disclosed by the company. Furthermore, the device has a 3MP fixed-focus main camera at the back with no flash. Connectivity is covered by Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB port. In addition, you’ll find Samsung features like Music Hub, Game Hub Lite, and the company’s TouchWiz user interface. The phone will also be available in a dual-SIM version called the Galaxy Music DUOS.
Now coming to the main attraction of the device which without a doubt revolves around music. The Galaxy Music as the name suggests is certainly designed keeping music in mind. It features a so-called “Music Dedicated” key that provides one-click access to the music player, letting you fire up your tunes in a hurry. The Galaxy Music also has dual stereo speakers in the front for “outstanding sound quality” in addition to an FM radio. It has a few special audio and music features such as Sound Alive, which optimizes the quality of audio, and SRS technology, which provides a surround-sound effect with just two speakers which in reality is something quite impressive.
Pricing along with availability has not been disclosed as yet but we are anticipating it to be somewhere in the beginning of 2013 but as mentioned earlier this is just a wild guess on our part and no official word has yet been made by the company. Will keep you guys posted on any further developments once Samsung makes an official announcement.
