We have to give it to HTC for yet again coming up with an absolute beauty of a phone with the upcoming launch of the HTC J Butterlfy which is a sequel to the original HTC J which was released just a few months ago. Rumors regarding the big launch were up and running since quite some time now but no official word had been made by the Taiwanese phone giants till now. The specs are literally going to make you fall of your seats. So are you guys ready to find out ?

HTC J Butterfly

Well to begin with, the device comes with an earth shattering 5-inch 1080p SLCD3 display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which gives it a pixel density of an astonishing 440 ppi. The display is quite big but at 143 x 71 x 9.1 mm, the J butterfly is only slightly bigger than the One X (134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm) and at 140g weighs just 10g more. Other Specs include,

  • Qualcomm S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core APQ8064 processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 8MP camera
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • SLCD3 1080p 440ppi display
  • NFC
  • 2,020mAh battery
  • 9.1mm thin
  • Black, red, white color variations
HTC J Butterfly
Now here’s the sad part which (unfortunately) had to be brought up. Apparently the HTC J Butterfly like its predecessor would only get launched in Japan on the AU/KDD carrier in December and would be sold in three colors: red, white and black so for those of you who are living outside the land of the Rising Sun should for the time being  just forget about owning one. HTC did happen to mention one small thing though, according to a company’s spokesman, they are going to introduce phones with similar displays in the near future. I hope this little piece of info manages to bring a smile on all those sad faces who wanted to get their hands on this powerful little “Butterfly”.
