Skype for Android has now been updated to version 3.0 which adds a few notable changes to its interface along with a few other small tweaks. One of the major overhauling done in the app is that it has now been fully customized for Tablets. Till now, the scaled mobile version of the app used to work just fine on their larger screen relatives but with the new update, user’s get a whole new look and feeling to the way they have been traditionally using Skype all this time.
Other noteworthy additions to the update include the ability to sign in with a Microsoft account which sounds logical since the company is now owned by the software giants. There is also improved audio and a host of bug fixes that Skype unsurprisingly chose not to go into much detail about. The sole downside of the Tablet versions is that the app only supports “landscape mode” so this might stir in some problems for people who prefer to use it in the vertical mode as well. Besides this little niggle, the app seems to be loved and adored by all. Give it a try by downloading it for free from the Play Store.
