2013 is looking to be the year of the Full HD smartphones, rumors have it that almost all the Big dogs are aiming to launch at least one Full HD 1080p Display Smartphone in the market. It now seems that, this is not the goal only for the major companies but for other not as well as known companies, like South Korea’s Pantech. Though their name is not so familiar in the world, but they are actually South Korea’s Third Largest Handset manufacturers. According to rumors they are going to launch their first ever Full HD smartphone, codenamed Vega No. 6.
The smartphone is set to have a gigantic 5.9 inch Full HD 1080p screen, which bdw would be the first of its kind. The smartphone or Phablet does not stop impressing just there, as it comes with bundles of power thanks to a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor and 2GB of RAM. The device also features a 13 MP shooter at the back a 2MP front facing camera, has an internal memory of 32 GB with (most of you would love to hear this) a Micro SD card support. The LTE capable device also comes with NFC and runs on Android Jelly Bean OS 4.1.2 with its own UI theme called Flux UI. Now in order to cater to such high specs Pantech have not disappointed us in the most crucial part, the battery. The Vega No. 6 comes with a massive 3140mAh battery, which is really good to hear.
The smartphone is not going to be cheap though considering the specs, it would be around 850,000 KRW, which comes to approx $780. As the giants get ready to show of their Full HD devices, the launch of this smartphone would surely keep the competition in check, which to the consumers is always good. This smartphone or phablet whatever you may like to call it,would initially be only available in South Korea. So the rest of the world might have to wait for it.
