HP Slate 7 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Tablet

HP has finally jumped on the Android band wagon, with their all new Android powered Tablet the “Slate 7”.  The Slate 7 will run on stock Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as HP did not want to put any theme over it. According to some people, this is the case because HP are relatively new to the Operating System.

The Slate 7 as the name suggests will have a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024×600. The heart of the device is a 1.6 GHz Dual Core ARM Cortex A9 Processor. The It also features 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, with expandable storage via MicroSD (which is a BIG Plus). The Tablet also has a 3 MP rear shooter, with a front VGA camera for Skype and similar soft-wares’.

As HP have affiliated with Beats Audio for their laptop devices, they have joined hands again for their tablet. The Slate 7 is available for $169.99, which is a very decent price compared to the tablets of the other well known companies. Only Asus’s Nexus 7 seems the closest competitor, will have to see if the Tablet is worth the amount, as HP have claimed it that you will not find a Tablet in its range with the same build quality. Well we will just have to test it for ourselves to find out. Till then if you get a chance to grab one, do let us know how you liked it.
