The HTC One’s release brought with it the all new Sense 5.0 which is now getting ready to be rolled out for a few other HTC flagship devices. According to an official announcement by the Taiwanese giants, the new Sense update would be made available for the One X, One X+, One S and the Butterfly J (also known as the Droid DNA in a few regions). The one thing which is still left unclear is that whether the update would comprise of all the new juicy features that were announced with the launch of the HTC One including the sleek new online notifications feature known as the “Blinkfeed” besides many other improvements.

The company further added that there would be a few features that would be made available exclusively to owner’s of the HTC One which means that the rest of the devices would have to let do without them. With that said, here is what the company had to say in its official press release,

HTC will be offering upgrades to some of its existing devices in the next few months, including global variants of HTC One X, One X+, One S and the HTC Butterfly. Also, note that some features enabled by the new HTC One hardware will not be available in the software updates.

HTC do have an old trend of¬†releasing¬†updates to their new custom UI over to older devices as it was previously seen when the company had rolled out the HTC Sense 4.0 update for those devices which were initially running the older versions of the software. We’ll have to now wait and see as to whether the company has any intentions of bringing the latest update onto some more devices most preferably onto those that lie in the mid-range category.
