Motorola DROID devices to start getting Android 4.4 KitKat from today while the Moto X and Moto G get Android 4.4.2
News has been coming in since morning regarding Motorola’s (owned by Google) plans of releasing the Android 4.4, KitKat update for few of their flagship “DROID” devices that include the Droid Mini, Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra. Verizon have confirmed the news on their official twitter account and have also stated that the updates will start rolling out in phases which means everybody would not be able to get their hands on it right away but eventually they will.
There was some more news for Moto fans as well. The Moto X and Moto G are scheduled to start receiving the Android 4.4.2 updates from today with major improvements for the camera, enhancements such as restyled status and navigation bars, a new full-screen mode, color emoji support, improved closed captioning support, stronger security, smarter power use, and more tools and capabilities for better app development.
As far as the aforementioned DROID devices are concerned, the update should start coming to your devices as we speak so head on over to your phone settings menu and check for the update right away.
