Facebook, if you all probably remember had released beta test versions of their acclaimed Android app last year that enabled user’s to gain a first hand insight months before the final version was released. Following on that success, Facebook have now shifted their focus solely onto their premier messaging client, the Facebook Messenger app for Android. The social networking giants have announced that they are once again offering beta testing to those who are interested in trying it out and sharing their experiences with the company while also giving suggestions for further improvements. If you are one of those who is willing to give the new FB Messenger app a try then just follow these 4 simple steps and you’ll be good to go in no time.
- Join the Facebook Messenger for Android Beta Testers Google group:https://groups.google.
- Allow beta downloads by clicking “Become a Tester” in the Play Store (you need to join the Google Group before becoming a tester)
- Download Facebook Messenger from the Play Store to update your app
- Turn on automatic updates, as the beta version of Facebook Messenger for Android will be updated multiple times per week
Before giving it a go, let us remind you guys once again that these are just very early versions of the app and would in no way be as stable as their final releases so do keep that in mind. For now, all beta testers will have access to new sharing tools in Messenger along with a bug report sharing option. If you are willing to give it a try then do let us know how it goes. Cheers !!
