ASUS ZenWatch

The IFA 2014 Trade Show in Berlin seems to be the talk of the town, with various OEM’s coming with new devices. Samsung came up with their new flagship the Galaxy Note 4 and a first of its kind Galaxy Note Edge. Also in the smart watch department they unveiled their new Galaxy S smart watch. Now talking about smart watches, ASUS finally lifted the curtains on its very own smart watch the ASUS ZenWatch.

On the looks front, you can already tell from the picture above, its a classy looking watch. The body of the watch is metal and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on it for extra protection. The straps are leather, giving it a very premium and sophisticated look. The 1.63 inch display on the watch is AMOLED having a resolution of 320×320, 278ppi. The smart watch is a new member of the Android wear family, so it basically has all the features, of a standard Android wear device.

On top of that the ASUS ZenWatch has a couple of neat little features as well, for example you can unlock your phone straight from the watch. When a call is incoming you can just put your hand on the watch to silence the call (pretty helpful in most situations).  How many times have you put your phone in a place you cannot find, well now you can easily track your phone down with Tap Tap and Find my phone options in the watch. ASUS Remote Camera app lets you use, your watch’s display to control your smart phone’s camera, some pretty spy stuff there!! Lastly, the presentation controls in the watch act as a remote during your presentations or lecture.
