Members of the Cyanogen Community are waiting anxiously for the release of CyanogenMod 12, which is based on Google’s new Android 5.0 Lollipop. When the latest OS reached AOSP servers, people were excited for custom ROM developers like AOKP, Paranoid Android and Cyanogen to start working on their respective builds.
Cyanogen have mentioned in their latest blog, that development of the CM 12 build is well under way. The ETA mentioned for devices to start getting CM12 has been given end of November or Early December. This is really exciting news, as now the oldest of phones can run Google’s latest Android version (That’s what I love about Custom ROMs). The number of supported phones has not been confirmed by then, but it is safe to assume it is going to be a long list. Till then you can enjoy CM11’s latest M12 snapshot build so to keep your phone up to speed with the minor changes CM will keep on making for your device to have a smooth transition to CM12.
