Microsoft Mobile has officially launched its first Microsoft branded smartphone the Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual-Sim today in Karachi, Pakistan. Microsoft this past few years have launched low budget device with great success, keeping in mind their more for less policy. “The Microsoft Lumia 535 is for the younger tech-involved audiences, aspiring to own the latest flagship smartphone but often don’t have the means to get it”, said Mr. Kamran Masood Niazi – Communications Manager, Microsoft Devices Pakistan.
The Microsoft Lumia 535 comes with a 5 inch IPS LCD qHD (540 x 960) display. A 1.2 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory. The device also comes with a microSD card slot which is capable of supporting up to 128GB of memory.Unlike some of its brethren the Lumia 535 does not come with a uni body but a clip on back, so you can always swap the 1905 mAh battery when required.
The device comes with a 5MP shooter at the back with LED flash, taking videos in 480p@30fps. The front shooter is the one to talk about though, the Lumia 535 Dual-Sim comes with a Wide Angle 5 MP lens, which is a real treat for selfie lovers.
On the software side of things, the smartphone will be running Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 8.1, Denim update out of the box. Microsoft Office, 15GB One Drive storage and Skype with other Microsoft features will come pre-installed as well. The good thing about this device is that as Skype is integrated in the system, switching from a normal voice call to a video (Skype) call is seamless.
The device will be available in Pakistan from 10th December, with a bunch of color options. The colors include green, orange, white, dark grey, black and cyan. According to Mr. Niazi the Microsoft Lumia 535 will be launched in a yellow version in the future as well. The Dual Sim device will be up for grabs for Rs. 14,250, which does stir up the competition quite a bit.
