Google has a dream, to make available cheap smartphones with proper software support for all the developing countries in the world. This dream is called Android One. They had already initiated this in India with collaboration with Karbonn, MicroMax and Spice Mobile. Now, it has finally reached Pakistani shores. They have partnered with QMobile to bring the first Android One smartphone in Pakistan

The QMobile A1 is the first ever Android One device in Pakistan which comes with the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. The Android One initiative means that the device will have a guaranteed 2 year software update, which will include the upcoming Android M OS.

The smartphone itself is targeted towards the masses, so the price point is fairly cheap. The QMobile A1 is for only PKR 11,500.

If looked under the hood, the QMobile A1 has a 4.5inch display with 1.3GHz Quad-core processor, 1GB RAM with 8GB internal memory. A microSD card slot is also available. The device has a 5MP primary camera having Auto Focus and flash. On the front is a 2MP secondary shooter.

The beauty of Android One is that, it is stock Android, no bloated software on top of it, making the user experience even more smooth considering the specs. The device even looks good, so not letting down on that front either.  For all those who are wanting a secondary device, or want a first Android phone then this is the one to buy.
