Weather apps are one of the most commonly utilized applications all over the world and one of the most trusted ones out of them all is most certainly the default Google weather widget that comes installed in almost every Android device currently available. That being said, Google have finally decided to give its coveted weather app a complete overhaul using the all new material design which came with Android 5.0 lollipop with further improvements in the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Kindly note that this is not a new Google Now card, but the view that comes up after you tap a Google Now weather card.
Google’s new weather interface introduces a blast of vibrant colors and the little cartoon characters makes it look even more pleasing to the eye. The “today” view on the card serves up a brief look at the daily weather conditions, with the different caricatures indicating a different weather condition on a daily basis.
The “tomorrow” view doesn’t seem to show such a graphic, but it does display a colorful gradient that may vary between blue, gray and anything in between to match the mood of the day. Lastly, the 10-day tab seems to bring up a more traditional looking list of what’s to come in the days ahead.
Google have really done a good job with the overhauling of one of its most widely used mobile functionalities but the one question that still remains is exactly when would this update finally be rolled out to the masses ? We’ll keep you guys updated as soon as we find out. So what do you think about the new changes ? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below and hope you guys have an awesome day. Cheers !!
