After months of speculations and a bunch of leaked images, Google finally confirmed their upcoming Pixel Smartphones that are to be officially launched on October 4th. As seen from the teaser video, Google (in a surprising turn of events) has decided to drop the Nexus brand name which was previously associated with the company’s flagship devices running on the stock versions of Android. As the rumors suggest, we do expect Google to announce two variants, the Google Pixel and the slightly larger Pixel XL.

We’ll do a complete review of both the devices once they get officially announced next month. Last year we saw the Pixel C, the first Android tablet designed and built from start to finish by Google with a full keyboard, USB Type-C charger and multi-angle display functionality. So what do you guys think about the new name? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below. Cheers!!
