Pokemon Go gets another major update

Pokemon Go gets another major update

Pokemon Go has received another major update yet again after taking the the world by storm when it got released a few weeks back. The much needed update brings fixes for a number of issues that were addressed by a number of players in recent weeks. Most notable changes include Nearby that has officially been renamed to “Sightings” and the ability to change  your username. It would had been cool if they added the ability to change the color as well but lets leave that for now. Here’s the list of all the changes that have been made in the latest version of the app – v0.33 Added a dialog to remind Trainers that they should not play while traveling above a certain speed. Trainers must confirm they are not driving in order to continue playing. Made improvements to the accuracy of a curveball throw. Fixed a bug that prevented ”Nice,” ”Great,” and “Excellent” Poké Ball throws from awarding the appropriate XP bonuses. Fixed achievements showing incorrect Medal icons. Enabled the ability for Trainers to change their nickname one time. Please choose your new nickname wisely. Resolved issues with the battery saver mode on iOS and re-enabled the feature. Added visuals of Team Leaders Candela, Blanche, and Spark. We’re currently testing a variation of the “Nearby Pokémon” feature with a subset of users. During this period you may see some variation in the nearby Pokémon UI. Minor text fixes Based on the very first point, its clear that Niantic is taking extra safety precautions more seriously in light of a number of road accidents and various other incidents that people are getting themselves into while playing the game. The update is available now on Google Play. So what do you guys think of the new added features? Share your views with us in the comments...

Jason Voorhees coming to Mortal Kombat X Mobile

Jason Voorhees coming to Mortal Kombat X Mobile

Who doesn’t like a nice Hack and Slash game this time of the year. Mortal Kombat X mobile has just teased their next challenge tower and who better to haunt the Mortal Kombat world this Halloween than the legendary ice hockey mask wearing, machete wielding killer himself – Jason Voorhees. Normally the people at WB studios, launch new character challenges in sets of 3. So, if Jason is the first then who are the other two? Any guesses? We would not be surprised if any old character comes back with new variant, such the case with Kold War Sonya Blade. Well, we will just have to wait for the update to come. Till then enjoy the next challenge – most probably it is the Ronin Kenshi one (which they had delayed somehow and gave us a 5 day Flaming Fist Liu Kang challenge instead, strange?) If you have not played the game yet, then head over to the Google Play Store and start giving those awesome X-Ray...

Samsung launches Game Tuner – Helps Tweak game resolution and frame rate

Samsung launches Game Tuner – Helps Tweak game resolution and frame rate

Gaming has really evolved on android smartphones, with games such as God Fire: Rise of Prometheus, Need for Speed: No Limits and Mortal Kombat X. These games require plenty of hardware to run smoothly and without any frame rate drops. Samsung today have come up with an app called “Game Tuner”. What it does is, enable you to manually increase or decrease the game’s resolution and frame rate. This will be really exciting for gamers, who want to enhance their experience on bigger display devices. Not only that, but lowering the settings, means less GPU usage and longer battery life. All this is well and good, but sadly there is a catch. This app is currently supporting only two devices Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. Future updates will add, the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, but you will have to wait a bit for it. Samsung will slowly start adding more Galaxy devices to the list but hope Samsung, lets other OEM devices to be supported as well *fingers crossed*. Wouldn’t that be awesome? So, if you are one those lucky people who owns the supported devices then head over to the Google Play Store and give it a go. Download: Game...
