A few months back Rovio had unveiled the first official teaser trailer of Angry Birds Star Wars II, which is a sequel to its predecessor, Angry Birds Star Wars; one of the most downloaded games from the famous bird flinging franchise. The wait is finally over now. As promised earlier, the company had said that the game would be available on all mobile platforms from September 19th and like always, Rovio have stuck to their promise. As of now, Angry Birds Star Wars II is available for Android, Apple and Windows Phone 8. The sequel unlike the previous one tends to focus on the three prequels (Episode I, II and III) that made Star Wars one of the biggest grossing franchises at the box office. In Angry Birds Star Wars II you are able to play either with your favorite little birds or if you’re in an evil mood, you can also play as the pigs by joining the Pork (Dark) Side. There are more than 30+ characters to choose from within the game making it one of the largest rosters in Angry Birds history. Players opting to choose the Dark side would be able to play as Darth Maul, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, General Grievous and many other villains whereas those who want to become a Jedi or Sith Master would be able to get their hands on Yoda, pod-racing Anakin, Mace Windu, Jango Fett and many more. The game also features more than 30 collectible TELEPODS which are basically small character figurines from within the game that can be teleported straight into the action with just a simple scan of the QR code embedded on them through your device’s camera. Players would also have the ability to easily switch between characters within the game as well. The TELEPODS would be sold as separate collectible figures from all leading toy stores. The game (with in-game ads) is now available for free from the Google Play Store but for those who don’t like these annoying ads to bother them all the time can purchase the ad-free version for $.99. So which side are you planning to join? Download the game and start flinging those birds and pigs right away!! EGG-joy...
