Telenor Rawaan takes you on a never before seen musical journey across Pakistan

There is no denying the fact that Pakistan is filled with tremendous natural beauty and a plethora of cultural diversities. This was recently highlighted in a delightful music video called “Rawaan” sponsored by Telenor in which some of the major tourist attractions of the country have been highlighted. The video portrays the journey of a music producer who is in the midst of capturing some of the most breath taking sights and sounds of the country. The video not only promotes various cultures but at the same time also spreads the message of love and peace in a manner that is not only serene but at the same time quite soothing to the soul as well. The music composed in the video is a perfect blend of Sufi poetry and local folk songs stringed together in a single truly mesmerizing bundle. With the recent acquisition of the 4G spectrum, Telenor has come a long way from just being a simple network provider and has taken into its stride to not only provide their customers with the best services but in the process of doing so, also bridge the gap between various cultures of the country. In order to cater the high demanding communication needs of the country, Telenor Rawaan is most certainly a step in the right direction. It is a metaphorical manifestation of this very endeavor. The mystical voyage for enlightenment mirrors Telenor’s own philosophy of looking within the customer. Traveling across the land, it becomes evident how every region and its people have their own unique flavor and it is precisely these striking differences that unite us. In the way a garden unites all varieties of flowers rooted in the same soil. This symbolizes precisely how Telenor recognizes the differences that make each of its customers unique and allows Telenor to deliver customized, personal solutions. And finally the epic journey of self-discovery signifies Telenor’s own limitless journey driven by the ambition to fulfill its core value; ‘Customer First’. Say Goodbye to regular Wi-Fi signal drops with Plume Pods

Say Goodbye to regular Wi-Fi signal drops with Plume Pods

In today’s wireless world where everything is seemingly connected over a local Wi-Fi network, we often seem to face a common issue where we do not get full signal strengths in all the rooms of our house. Agreed? There are some people who besides having two-three routers in a house sometimes complain about drop in signals especially if there are lots of doors and walls. All this is about to change with Plume Podsan adaptive WiFi network system which uses multiple pods throughout your house to give you the best coverage possible. The concept behind Plume Pods may sound similar to a standard mesh network, but Plume has developed a self-learning system which adapts to your house, your devices and surrounding WiFI networks to consistently deliver a fast and reliable WiFi connection. Simply connect a pod in each room and enjoy uninterrupted connectivity throughout the house. Each Pod is about the size of a small night bulb and plugs right into the wall. The Pods also come with an Ethernet port but you only need to connect one pod to your modem using a regular LAN cable. “Plume is a cloud coordinated WiFi system that exponentially increases the signal strength and quality of your WiFi. It monitors your WiFi activity and balances your network load without sacrificing the performance of one device over another. Plume utilizes multiple WiFi channels in the same home to communicate between Plume Pods, eliminating congestion as your WiFi demands change and increase. Our cloud algorithms figure out which band to use for each device to ensure your devices have access to the speed they deserve, avoiding interference along the way. Plume WiFi adapts to the physical space you live in, your online devices, your household, and even to your neighbor’s WiFi usage patterns (yes, their networks also impact your environment!). It adapts real-time to your personal needs.” As far as pricing and availability is concerned, the company is in the final testing phase before the Pods go on sale this fall. If you pre-order today, you can get a pack of six Pods for $234 with each additional Pod costing $39. Once the devices are floated in the market, each Plume Pod will be retailing at $49. Pre-orders are currently only limited to the US but the company says that it is planning to open them up to other countries as well before the official launch. So what do you guys think of this new handy little device? If you’re like me who uses multiple routers to cover the entire house, the Plume Pods can very well be the solution to all our Wi-Fi related problems. Source: Plume...

How to run Android on an iPhone [Video]

How to run Android on an iPhone [Video]

Now here’s some interesting news that is sure to create a lot of buzz among iOS and Android enthusiasts. We have seen the feud going on for years between both parties and it still continues to do so with each new Android device competing with its Apple counterpart and vice versa. But what if there is a way to simultaneously run your iPhone on both iOS and Android platforms? Sound surprising? Well, a guy who goes by the name of Nick Lee has figured a unique way to run Android on an iPhone 6S…..well sort of actually! Currently working as the CTO of a mobile development studio in Brooklyn called “Tendigi”, Nick built a custom 3D printed enclosure which acts as an iPhone 6S case. Inside the case lies a Lemaker HiKey circuit board that runs on a customized version of Android Marshmallow. Using a lightning connector to plug into the iPhone, the Tendigi iOS app allows the two devices to interact with each other. Technically speaking, the iPhone’s screen acts as a display and from what we see in the video, it’s doing a pretty decent job. The case also includes openings for HDMI and USB ports and even has a SD card slot. The whole idea of an iPhone being able to run on Android was derived from a previous experiment in which Nick was successful in running Windows 95 on an Apple Watch. Do watch the video and judge for yourself in case you have trouble believing what you just read. So what do you guys think of this unique concept? Could it be adapted in the main stream consumer market? Do share your thoughts with us in the comments...

Google and Maserati announce World’s First Android Car

Google and Maserati announce World’s First Android Car

When Google first announced Android Auto back in 2014 at Google I/O, it started creating a lot of enthusiasm amongst car owners worldwide. Two years down the line, drivers today can easily access the fascinating world of Android running on compatible vehicles that interface with the Android Auto app. As always, Google is once again creating major strides this year at the ongoing Google I/O 2016 developer’s conference in California with a bunch of new and exciting announcements. The company announced the world’s first Android car in collaboration with Maserati, one of the world’s most luxurious car manufacturers. Even though this is just an initial concept, we do get a fair idea of what we could expect from Android Auto in the future. Android Auto currently works in sync with the supported apps at the same time mirroring them onto the car’s mounted display. The Maserati on the other hand is running Android natively without the need of syncing it with secondary devices like a smartphone or tablet. The dashboard comprises of a huge 4K display which not only acts as your infotainment hub, but it also allows you to operate core vehicle functionality thanks to new APIs and features recently announced with Google’s upcoming (yet to be named) OS, Android N. That means the same screen from which you’ve grown accustomed to playing music, making calls, and controlling navigation will now let you set your car’s air conditioning and seat warmers. This particular car actually has seat vibrators, controllable directly from the dash screen. The bottom of the screen shows 5 primary buttons: Navigation Phone Home Screen Audio/Multimedia System Apps The home screen shows a stream of relevant content on large, easily scrollable cards such as recent calls, possible destinations, and other bits of information you’re likely to want to see. And ofcourse you’ll have access to Android Auto optimized apps such as Pocketcasts, Spotify, Google Play Music, and Pandora. The experience looks brilliant on the huge 13-inch display, especially the big and bold maps while navigating. It’s all powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 828 chipset, including the 720p display found behind the steering wheel. As mentioned earlier, the new Android Auto car integration is still in its early stages and there aren’t any consumer-ready vehicles that have been announced as yet. We do expect to hear more from Google in the months to come and hope for more compatible models sometime in 2017. What are your thoughts on Android Auto’s new features? We would love to hear your views in the comments below. Cheers!!                                   Source:...
