Could these be the new HTC Nexus Phones ? [Rumor]

Could these be the new HTC Nexus Phones ? [Rumor]

The world is anxiously waiting for the arrival of Google’s upcoming Nexus devices which are expected to be officially announced in the next few months. There were rumors floating around since quite some time that HTC would be manufacturing this year’s devices code-named Nexus Marlin and Nexus SailFish and from what it seems now, those rumors are definitely taking shape. Techconfigurations has created a 3D render (based on leaked images) of both the devices. While the leaked images that we’ve seen so far have shown off the front and back of the two phones, it’s speculated that both devices will feature the same basic design elements. The 3D render does take some creative liberties since there are not images which show off the edges of the phones. These are just early renditions of both the devices and we’re not exactly sure as to how the actual devices would turn out but the video does give us a fair idea of what to expect. So what do you guys think about the two upcoming Nexus devices? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below....

WhatsApp Video Calling feature to arrive in Q1 2016 – [Rumors]

Now here’s a feature everyone’s been anxiously waiting to get their hands on since quite a while now and if these rumors are indeed true, then you just might get to use it sometime next year. That’s right folks, according to MacerKopf, our friends from Germany, WhatsApp are currently working on a major update that is expected to be rolled out sometime in the first quarter of 2016 and one of the major attractions of this update would be video calling. Since its launch some 6 years ago, the instant messaging client has been one of the most used and downloaded applications among all major platforms including Android, iOS, Blackberry, Windows, Symbian devices and many more. The application has further developed a huge fan base since the last year or so especially with the introduction of its free voice calling feature but the one thing that eluded fans was the option for video calling (a feature currently being dominated by its major competitors like Viber and Skype). This trend might very well be about to change if these rumors indeed turn out to be true. As for now, we have just managed to get our hands on a leaked image of what the video calling feature of WhatsApp might look like. We’ll be following up with this story in the weeks to come so do stick around. In the mean time here’s wishing you all a very happy Happy holiday season from all of us here at Talk Android Phones. Stay blessed you guys…Cheers...

Android 6.0 or M to come with Multi-Window Feature [RUMOR]

Android 6.0 or M to come with Multi-Window Feature [RUMOR]

Every year Google comes up with its new edition to the Android family naming them after tasty deserts. The names usually are alphabetical so after J, K, L now its the turn for “M”.  So, it would go as Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lolipop and now rumored to be Muffin. This is still early days, as most devices are still stuck on KitKat and yet have to see Android 5.0 or 5.1 Lollipop.  According to rumors, Google’s next Android version a.k.a Android 6.0 or Muffin, will come with an updated but not likely redesigned Material UI.  Not only that Android 6.0 will be coming with a few bag of goodies as well, namely a Multi-Tasking (Multi-Window) feature.  This will be pretty handy considering the larger display devices in the market these days like the Nexus 6. Their is no official word on what exactly will Android “M” be called, could be Muffin or like they did with KitKat, maybe it could be Mars, who knows. Only thing that is for sure is that Android 6.0 will be something to look out for at the end of 2015. Till then let us know what name do you suggest for Google’s next Android...

How far these pics are close to the real deal we don’t actually know but if it is in fact true, then the S6, as mentioned earlier, would be wrapped in a metallic uni body frame with a glass rear coating. These are still very early (leaked) images of the device but from the looks of things, they do look quite similar to the GALAXY Alpha series. For now, we’ll just have to wait patiently for the MWC. We’ll keep you guys posted on any further updates and rumors so do stick around. Cheers !!  ...

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge coming soon!

Samsung have faced a decrease in smartphone sales this year. A lot of people were hoping that this would spark a change in the development of their next year’s flagship device. Rumors of a “Project Zero” were indicating that Samsung might be building the next device from scratch. (Fingers crossed for that!) Talking about the name of the device, SamMobile have confirmed that the next flag ship will be called  the Samsung Galaxy 6 (go figure). There will also be a Galaxy S6 Edge variant, seeing how curved displays are the way to go these days. The S6 Edge will most probably have a display similar to the Galaxy Note Edge.
