Could this be the Nexus 6? [Leaked Picture and Specs]

Could this be the Nexus 6? [Leaked Picture and Specs]

If stock OS’s are your thing, then you are most probably waiting for the next generation Nexus device. According to sources, Google will launch the Nexus 6 by the end of this year. We might even get to see it as early as October 15-16th when Google is expected to be holding an event. A Leaked image of the back of the device  codenamed “Shamu” had been found hovering the web last week, but it resembles the back of the Moto X 2014 Edition, so we are not too sure. Though, we know that the next Nexus device is being made by Motorola and Google has confirmed that their next flagship device will be called “Nexus 6”. The device is said to have a 5.9 inch QHD display (2560 x 1440), a 13MP camera at the back with dual ring flash, two front facing speakers (similar to the Moto X), a 3200+mAh battery and the device is covered with an aluminum frame. The device is also rumored to have Motorola’s Turbo charge feature, which enables the device to last for around 8 hours on a 15 minute charge. The device will be running on Google’s upcoming Android L operating system, which is also expected to launch later this month. Android Police had made a render of the device which you can see above. The battery and the signal icons are now solid and do not have a break in them like the one found in the current KitKat (Android 4.4) version. This may not bode well for those who prefer devices with smaller screen sizes, as 5.9 inch is quite big. This is all the news we have so far about the device, What do you think about Google’s next...

Leaked Images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Leaked Images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Samsung’s Unpacked Event is still a few weeks away and leaks for the their next flagship device are already all over the web. Now the leaks could be very well made renders or you could be looking at the actual Galaxy Note 4. The device looks pretty similar to the current Galaxy Note 3 but only from the front, the back and sides are a whole different matter though. The back of the device seems to have a plastic faux leather-like texture, but the sides seems to be metal (similar to the upcoming Galaxy Alpha). So we might see Samsung, going for a mix metal and plastic body this time around. The device seems to be 5.7 inches and will most probably come with a QHD (2560×1440) display. Next to the camera is the heart rate scanner, so where is the UV scanner everybody is talking about? The lower end of the device seems to be housing the S-Pen and a 3.0 USB port with a speaker grill.  To add to these pictures credibility there is even a picture of the retail box.   Well Samsung are unveiling their next flagship device on September 3rd, six days before Apple takes out the iPhone 6. So, we’ll just have to wait and see if these pictures are actually real or not! Till then we welcome all speculation, so guys keep them coming! Source: GSM...

Galaxy Note 4 to come with a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD display – [Rumors]

Galaxy Note 4 to come with a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD display – [Rumors]

After the successful launch of Samsung’s flagship device of the year, the GALAXY S5, its now time for us to shift our focus onto their premium phablet category viz the Galaxy Note Series. Last year we saw an absolutely awe inspiring device with the launch of the Note 3 and now rumors have started arising about its next successor, the Galaxy Note 4 sometime later this year. The Note 3 was a significant upgrade from its predecessor the Note 2 with a larger 5.7″ display as compared to the 5.5″ inch on the Note 2 and even though a .2 increase is not too significant, Samsung still believes that bigger is not always necessarily better and with that said, the South Korean tech giants have decided to stick to the 5.7″ size for the Note 4 but here’s the best part. The device would come with a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD display similar to the one found in the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime. According to our friends at GSMArena, both the devices might get launched together in the very near future. As far as the device’s other hardware is concerned we don’t have any updates yet but I’m sure as the days go by we’ll be hearing a lot more before Samsung eventually decide to launch it officially sometime in September or early October. Stick around for...

First look at the Metal Body Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime [Leaked]

First look at the Metal Body Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime [Leaked]

Samsung has been hinting at taking out a “Premium” version of its 2014 flagship device, the Galaxy S5.  Rumors for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime, that’s the name most likely we’ll see,  have been flying around left and right, but no pictures of the device had surfaced. That wish has been fulfilled by phoneArena it seems.  The pic shows a Samsung device, which looks alot like the S5 but has some minor body changes as well. There is no speaker grill at the back of the device, the bezel has been made more rounder from the edges and seems to be a bit small as well. Another difference we could tell by the pics was that the heart-rate monitor is built slightly differently as well. The S5 Prime has been rumored to have a QHD display(2560 x 1440), an Exynos Octa-core processor or a Snapdragon 805 processor powering the device. The ram has been bumped upto 3GB and it would be having 32GB internal memory. On the software front the device would be running on the soon to be released Android 4.4.3 (KitKat). The biggest difference though is suggested to be the material of the device’s body. Rumors suggest it to be metal, instead of the plastic we usually see Samsung devices made of. Well, these pics do confirm, that a new Samsung device is on track and we hope these pics are of the S5 Prime only. Only time will tell, what the S5 Prime holds for us, till then Happy...

Samsung’s upcoming “Gear Solo”‘ could be a standalone SIM enabled smartwatch – [Rumors]

Following the successful launch of the Gear 2, Gear Neo and the Gear Fit, Samsung are now working on another device currently known as the Samsung Gear Solo. Rumors have already begun to surface out of the Korea Herald about Samsung’s next big entry in the smartwatch genre and by the looks of it this might just be the “Ultimate” Smart-watch yet. Now what is so great about this new watch you ask? Well if the rumors that we’ve heard are correct then the Solo would actually be the very first smart-watch to incorporate a SIM  card. From what we are contemplating, the Gear Solo could might just be a stand-alone device which could be used as a full fledged phone without the need of actually possessing a smartphone (which is the case with the current line of Samsung smart-watches). The wearable device will enable users to make and receive calls without syncing it with any smartphones. We’re still not sure whether these rumors are actually true or not but whatever the case maybe we’ll keep you guys updated on any further developments so do stick around for more....

Apple rumored to bring iTunes for Android ? – [Rumors]

Apple rumored to bring iTunes for Android ? – [Rumors]

The (late) great Steve Jobs would probably be turning in his grave after hearing rumors regarding Tim Cook’s future plans of integrating some of Apple’s marquee (patented) apps with Android. Yes you read that right folks !!! According to a few recent reports, Apple might be considering to offer its iTunes service on other platforms with Android being the most likely candidate to get it. Surprised? The main objective for Apple to take such a drastic move lies mainly in the fact that the trend for digital music downloads is slowly on the decline. Besides that, the company are also in the process of completely overhauling iTunes into a more contemporary service based on a subscription-based model to overcome stiff competition from other rival services including Xbox Live Music, Google Play Music, Spotify and many more. Apple were among the first ones to bring a major revolution to the music industry with the introduction of their iPod range along with their online music store, iTunes and with this newly proposed subscription based streaming service on multiple platforms, the company want to further cement their legacy in the music industry . These are still just very early rumors based on a few assumptions with no official word made by either Apple or any of its employees. We’ll keep you guys informed of any future happenings just in-case the company does indeed decide to initiate this service in the future. What do you guys think of this ? Can Android and Apple finally co exist ? Only time would tell. Stick around for more...
