Galaxy S5 Zoom Spotted – Will have a 19 Megapixel Camera

There were rumors of different Galaxy S5 variants even before the device was officially launched. One such rumor was that the Galaxy S4 Zoom would get a successor and thanks to the benchmark site GFX Bench we now know that the rumors are coming true. The Galaxy S5 Zoom has been upgrading in terms of camera (which is the main attraction of the device) but also the internal specs have been given a considerable boost. The Galaxy S5 will have a 19 mega pixel camera the zoom specs are not yet specified as yet but it is expected to be more than its predecessor’s 10x optical zoom. The Galaxy S5 Zoom will have a 4.8 inch 720p Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, Front Facing 2 mega pixel camera and will be running the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat software. The Samsung Unpacked Event is just a few days away and news is coming in that, Samsung will not only launch there next-gen smartphone but also a new smart watch. The new smart watch is health oriented, and will integrate sensors to track steps and other physical activity and even monitor user’s sleep. The Galaxy S5 is just around the corner and Samsung are already giving teasers for the device. Recently on their Twitter account they shared a picture for their Unpacked event. What was interesting about the picture though was that it showed a whole new set of icons. The icons are much flatter than the ones found in previous TouchWiz UIs. This news mixed with the new layout of Samsung’s S Health App, we can safely assume that The Galaxy S5 may just be housing a revamped TouchWiz interface. The Unpacked Event is being held in Barcelona on February 24th and that would be the day all the rumors of the Galaxy S5 will be put to bed.   According to reports released by Digitimes, Google are anticipating on unveiling their next flagship tablet of 2014 the Google Nexus 8 sometime in April. Even though we had heard rumors about a similar looking tablet last year, but those rumors didn’t seem to materialize till now. Even though we still do not have any insights as far as the device’s hardware is concerned, what we do know is that the tablet is going to have an 8-inch HD display and is to be manufactured by ASUS, the same OEM’s who have been making the Nexus tablets for Google since the last couple of years. This week is turning out to be full of exciting news and rumors, starting with Samsung finally setting the date for its Unpacked Event and there is a strong reason to believe the Galaxy S5 is what’s next! LG, too have leaked out a few specs for the camera of their upcoming LG G Pro 2. Not only that but also a few rumors for the iPhone 6 as well. Lets start with the Galaxy S5, the rumors are coming thick and strong as the days come close to its official launch. The Galaxy S5 is expected to have the following specifications: 5.2 inch – 5.25 inch 2560×1440 SAMOLED display (560ppi) Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or Samsung Exynos 6 processor (depending on model) 3GB RAM 32/64/128GB storage configurations 16MP/3.2MP cameras Running Android 4.4 KitKat Release date: Q1 or Q2 this year The specs really look enticing and could turn out to be the official specs too,  if the rumors do come out true! LG on the other hand are getting ready to storm the Mobile World Congress 2014 with their new devices, specially their new LG G Pro . The device is expected to be in the running with  Samsung and HTC’s 2014 flagship devices. Whats been confirmed though is that the Camera at the back will be using an Optical Image Stabilizer Plus (OIS+) technology. Which will allow the smartphone to record videos 1.4 times slower than normal, for slow-motion videos. Burst Mode will be able to capture 20 photo’s at a go and the main news is  that it can take 4K videos at 3840×2160 resolution. The camera itself is expected to have a 13 Megapixel sensor. Finally we come to the iPhone 6 , according to rumors the device will be coming in two sizes 4.7 and 5.5 inches and it will be running iOS 7.2 and not iOS 8. The 4.7 inch display will have a 1080p resolution while the 5.5 inch variant will have a resolution of 2272×1280. A new iBeacon feature as well pops up, but no news has come for it as yet. The device itself is to be launched in Q2 or Q3 of 2014.
