Nokia to launch its First Android Based Smartphone – Nokia Normandy [Rumor]

Nokia to launch its First Android Based Smartphone – Nokia Normandy [Rumor]

As we all know, Nokia and Google through out the years haven’t seen eye to eye with each other and that is mainly the reason why we haven’t come across any Nokia devices running on Google’s popular Linux based (open source) Android Operating System. Things might be about to change now according to a few spicy insights that we have come across with today. According to @evleaks, Nokia are now implicating towards the possible launch of their very first (slightly lower priced) Android based device called the “Nokia Normandy”. Nokia as we all know partnered with Microsoft for their Lumia range of Windows Phone devices, but after the takeover of the Finnish cellular giants by Microsoft themselves, we are not too sure how this whole Android move is going to go down with Microsoft keeping in mind the recent online wars between Google and Microsoft especially after Microsoft’s recent Scroogled campaign against their long term nemesis. These are still just very early rumors that we have come across with and there has been no official announcement by Nokia on the news as well. Even though we all would love to see a Nokia device running on Android but when exactly that might happen, nobody knows. The main question is, will Microsoft allow this move to happen or not. What’s your take on an Android based Nokia Smartphone? As for me, I wouldn’t mind one bit. Stick around for further...

HTC planning to launch next flagship device in February. Could be the HTC M8 or the HTC One Two ? – [Rumors]

HTC planning to launch next flagship device in February. Could be the HTC M8 or the HTC One Two ? – [Rumors]

Rumors have been flying rampant about the launch of HTC’s next flagship device and the successor to its (amazing) predecessor the HTC One sometime in February 2014, after almost exactly a year since the HTC One made its debut in March 2013. Even though the company themselves haven’t disclosed any details about their next flagship device, we do expect them to launch it during February and March as according to some rumors, Samsung are also readying themselves for a possible release of its next flagship device, the GALAXY S5 in the first quarter of 2014.        The timing of the news does sound a little bit surprising since the company is going through a rigorous legal battle with Nokia over some patent issues that have resulted in the recent ban on the HTC One Mini in UK. The news about HTC’s upcoming plans were (supposedly) revealed during the recently concluded battle between the two cellular giants in which according to a ruling published by High Court Judge Richard Arnold, a successor to the HTC One could be released in the UK as early as February or March of next year. It could either be the rumored HTC M8 or the HTC One Two as it is widely speculated but we’ll have to wait and see as to exactly what the company has in mind eventually when they do decide to launch it sometime next year. Let us remind you guys once again that these are still just early rumors and there has been no official word on any of the aforementioned devices by the Taiwanese Tech giants either. We’ll keep you guys posted on any further developments in the weeks/months to come so do stick...

Samsung rumored to launch Galaxy Gear 2 with the Galaxy S5 – [Rumors]

Samsung rumored to launch Galaxy Gear 2 with the Galaxy S5 – [Rumors]

Its hardly been less than three months since Samsung unveiled two of their most premium devices, the Galaxy Note 3 along with its companion, the GALAXY GEAR Smartwatch and already there are rumors suggesting a possible unveiling of the Gear’s successor, the Galaxy Gear 2 that is expected to come out at the same time as the Galaxy S5. Now when exactly Samsung plans on launching these two devices is yet to be confirmed. Some news sources are suggesting that we might get to see the next Gear variant as early as in January, 2014 at the annual Consumer Electronic Show (CES). Even though nothing concrete is known so far, the Gear 2 from what we understand, is going to be at-least 15-20 percent thinner than its predecessor with an improved battery life which remains to be the only major cause of concern with the first generation Galaxy Gear that is currently available in the market. User’s have been complaining about the battery getting drained relatively quite quickly as compared to other devices in the same category (even though there are hardly any worth mentioning) but I suppose that is the case with almost every other Android device. Right? We’ll have to wait and see what Samsung does in this particular department with the Gear 2 and with strong rumors hinting towards other OEM’s coming up with their own smart watches next year, its better if the South Korean tech giants start righting their wrongs  from now only. Stick around for more updates. Cheers...

The Samsung Galaxy S5 rumored to have a metallic body – [Rumors]

The Samsung Galaxy S5 rumored to have a metallic body – [Rumors]

Even though Samsung have managed to take the world by storm with its impressive line of Galaxy S Smartphones, the one area that causes a bit of concern are the devices body who till now have been wrapped in plastic frames giving a cheap look and feel to the otherwise quite impressive pieces of marvel. The plastic enclosures have long been an Achilles heel for the South Korean tech giants but from the look of it, things are about to change (hopefully for the better) now. Samsung are finally ready to take into consideration the hue and cry from a large chunk of its customers who have wanted to get their hands on an expensive device…..that actually feels expensive! According to a few early rumors, the company is (apparently) working on an all new metallic exterior for its upcoming Galaxy S5. As stated earlier, these are still very early rumors but if Samsung are actually planning on building their very first metallic variant of their premium range of smartphones, its sure to leave a lot of unhappy customers with a huge grin on their faces. There is more to come on in the months ahead so do stick...

Android 4.4 KitKat spotted on the upcoming Nexus 5 – [Rumor]

Android 4.4 KitKat spotted on the upcoming Nexus 5 – [Rumor]

We are heading closer and closer towards Google’s next big event which is scheduled to take place on either 14th or 15th of October (the dates are still to be confirmed as Google hasn’t sent any invites as yet). From all the rumors that are buzzing around, we do expect the official launch of Android 4.4 KitKat running on the upcoming Nexus 5. We have today got our hands on a possible leaked version of the new OS running on the Nexus 5 and from the looks of things, it does look quite similar to Android Jelly Bean. We see a few tweaks here and there which include a transparent notification bar, a tweaked app drawer showing five rows of four apps each over your phone’s background instead of black, and the ability to access Google Now by swiping left past the leftmost home screen. The Nexus 5 also reportedly features the same “OK, Google Now” voice commands as the Moto X which is still left to be seen. These are still pre-release pics of the update that you can see and from the looks of things, we do expect to see a lot more when Google finally unveils it (hopefully) in a few days. Will keep you guys posted on the event and whatever other spicy details we can come up with before than so do stick around. Cheers...
