HTC One M8 blowing the competition away in a screen latency test

HTC One M8 blowing the competition away in a screen latency test

During this fast paced war of  smartphones, facing each other in the epic of battles, be it processor power or how many more mega pixels your camera smartphone has etc. It is the little things which most people tend to over look until they have bought the product and then they realize it. Did my phone just lag? That is one thing which is crucial for any user to get the best experience he/she can have of his/her mobile device. You may have heard some people around you, or you might have experienced it yourself, that how iOS is so smooth and is the best when it comes to a lag free experience. They were probably right, until last year when Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 3 (67ms) and beat the latency score of Apple’s iPhone 5/5s (75ms). This year, it may be a bit hard to believe but, the all new HTC One (M8) has shattered all the previous records and according to French tech blog Lesnumeriques,  the M8 scored 46ms screen latency. Well as the competition gets hotter, we will be seeing devices with a better score and giving us users a much smoother experience.  Microsoft is one company which is working on a Zero latency program, so if you think the HTC One M8 is smooth, then you can not even begin to imagine what that would be. Well the future seems to be really bright in this domain and congratulations seem to be in order for the HTC team as well. So, is that one more reason to get the new HTC One...

New Samsung UI to be launched soon ? [Leaked]

New Samsung UI to be launched soon ? [Leaked]

Its been quite a while since we have seen a major overhaul to Touch wiz, Samsung’s customized UI that is found in almost all of its devices. The wait for getting a taste of an entirely new look to the UI might finally be over. According to a few leaked images by evleaks, we just might get to see a completely revamped Touch Wiz in the eagerly anticipated Galaxy S5 which is rumored to be launched sometime in April. The new interface has a similar looking touch and feel that makes it a hybrid of  colorful looking Windows Tiles and Google Now cards. The collection of cards includes your current location, home automation, fitness tracking, food orders, biking/cycling information, sports scores, flight information, delivery updates, event reminders, and much more. Even though there has been no official word on this by Samsung or any of its representatives, we do like to keep our cards hidden for now and just hope these rumors do turn out to be true in the end. The present Touch Wiz even though has seen has a lot of success in recent years, but now people consider it to be a little bit outdated and monotonous to say the least. As per the leaked images, we can see that these new informative cards show check-in information, location sharing, song sharing and messages from your colleagues and loved ones all stacked up within each tile. The new concept does look interesting though but now the main question is whether Samsung are going to actually stick with it or come up with yet another new design when the company eventually does decide to go public in the coming months. Even in past, evleaks has been relatively quite accurate with most of his early leaked images so for now we’ll just have to wait and see till things get official. Do stick around for further...

Galaxy SIII and Galaxy S4 to get Android 4.3 in October

Galaxy SIII and Galaxy S4 to get Android 4.3 in October

Samsung had annoyed many users when they had announced that the Samsung Galaxy SIII would not be receiving the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update and directly get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The updates generally take a long time mostly due to the fact that Non – Google devices have their own UI Theme on top of the Stock ROM, such as the case with Samsung and its Touch Wiz Nature UX UI. The wait though is almost at a end as Samsung have announced that Android 4,3 Jelly Bean update would be rolling out for the Galaxy SIII and S4 from October. This will also make your devices compatible with the new Galaxy Gear – Samsung’s very first smart watch. Currently only two devices are compatible with the watch the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition) as they both come with Android 4.3 out of the box.  The update will bring with it all the cool features of  Android 4.2.2 as well as the various tweaks of Android 4.3, so it will likely be a big file (800MB+). No news about the Galaxy Note II receiving the update has come up yet, but we can make a safe bet that it will soon...
