HTC One M9 vs Flamethrower – Round 1 – Fight!!!!

HTC One M9 vs Flamethrower – Round 1 – Fight!!!!

Let’s admit it guys, whenever it comes to doing drop tests for most flagship devices we do expect the next one to be more brutal and extreme than the previous one…isn’t it ? By now we have seen almost everything (much to the dismay of many people) including SUVs being driven over them or a 6 inch nail being hammered on top of the screen to a more subtle plain and simple drop test. This time around though, the guys at Digiato decided to go a little further with a brand new HTC One M9. How much further you ask…well you have to see the video to find out!! Be warned this video is not for the faint hearted...

The all new HTC One M9 – Hands on Review

The all new HTC One M9 – Hands on Review

Its that time of the year where OEM’s from all over the world anxiously wait to unveil some of their flagship devices of the year. That’s right guys, MWC 2015 is in full swing these days with many big names such as Samsung, Microsoft and Huawei gracing the event, its now time for us to have a look at what the Taiwanese Tech Giants, HTC have in store for us this time. As anticipated since the last couple of weeks, the company did indeed stick to their initial promise of unveiling their next big flagship device of 2015, the HTC One M9. Last year’s variant, the HTC One (M8) considered by some as one of the best handheld devices of 2014 had won many accolades including one for the “best looking smartphone of the year” was one of the mainstays of the company. Now as an old saying goes, one should not try to fix something which is not broken and if a successful recipe has worked once, it ought to  repeat itself once again. Taking into consideration the aforementioned notion, HTC have this year decided to stick to those credentials for which their devices are always renowned for mainly when it comes to being stylish and durable at the same time. Lets take a closer look at what HTC’s next beast has to offer us this time around. Design and Body To begin with, this years HTC One looks pretty much similar to its predecessor the M8 and this is one area which got a few criticisms from both tech analysts as well as some of the consumers who were expecting a little something new and different from the (still brilliant) HTC One M8. There are a few notable changes nonetheless with the power button being shifted to the right hand side of the phone sitting just below the two volume rocker keys with all three buttons having exactly the same shape and design making it a bit confusing for people to easily switch between the power and the volume keys. Even though the power key is slightly ridged, it would have been better to have the volume keys on the other side – or move the microSD slot to the left-hand side below the SIM tray, thus giving more room to move the volume buttons up. On the front side of things, the M9 still manages to  stick to its previously recognized features that include the front facing grill with Boom Speakers along with the HTC logo which even though many users didn’t hold too kindly about in the M8 still remains there since most of the phone’s main internal components (sensors and...

HTC One M9 promo videos leaked before March 1st MWC Event

HTC One M9 promo videos leaked before March 1st MWC Event

The HTC One M9 is going to be unveiled on March 1st at the MWC 2015, but thanks to our resident leakster @upleaks we all got to know about it from today. He leaked 3 promo videos of the M9, which confirmed all the speculations and rumors we had for the device. HTC One M9 Intro Video The first is the Intro video for the HTC M9 showing off a 2-tone metallic finish and a single front camera unlike the HTC M8. The back camera is a 20MP shooter with the front camera being an Ultra Pixel for better low light selfies. The video also showed some features of the new theme engine HTC has used for Sense 7. Other than that HTC has replaced the Beats Audio speakers with Dolby Surround. HTC One M9 Camera This video shows off the 20MP and the UltraPixel front camera with some cool editing tools. The HTC M8 had quite a fun load of picture editing options, and HTC have tried to improve them it seems in the M9. HTC One M9 Theme Engine    The final video shows off the all new theme engine that HTC has introduced with Sense 7. The option to change the layout of your device to such an extent was only possible for users with rooted devices. Now for HTC to head into that direction is quite refreshing. Now these are leaked promos and there is a chance they could be fake, seems unlikely but could be plausible.  Whatever the case may be thanks to @upleaks we have something to be excited about. Though HTC may have gone a step back in the designing front , because it looks pretty similar to the M8 (normally Samsung has been found guilty of that). Well, lets just wait a few more days for the official word at...

HTC One M9 and M9 Ultra Specs seen in benchmarks

HTC One M9 and M9 Ultra Specs seen in benchmarks

The Mobile World Congress is just a couple of weeks away and major OEMs continue to send teaser after teaser! HTC on their twitter page today announced that something “HUGE” for just around the corner. This may point to the fact that HTC last year did something similar, taking out two models the HTC One (M8) and the 5.9inch phablet the HTC One Max. The benchmarking site, CompuBench today came across two HTC devices – carrying model numbers 0PJA13 and 0PK71. We know for a fact that the upcoming  HTC One M9 falls under the 0PJA model. The other model though, still a mystery could point to the fact that we may see the successor to the HTC One Max or the rumored HTC Butterfly 3. It most probably would be called HTC One M9 Ultra, Plus or Ace. HTC One M9 (0PJA13) 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display Snapdragon 810 1.9GHz octa-core (4 Cortex A57 cores + 4 Cortex A53 cores) Adreno 430 GPU 2.6GB (3GB) RAM 23GB (32GB) internal storage 19MP (20MP) rear / 12MP (13MP) front cameras with 4K video HTC One M9 Ultra/Plus/Ace (0PK71) 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 display MediaTek MT6795 1.9GHz octa-core (8 Cortex A53 cores) Rogue PowerVR G6200 GPU 2.6GB (3GB) RAM 23GB (32GB) internal storage 19MP (20MP) rear / 12MP (13MP) front cameras with 4K video The specs do shed a light to all the rumors we have had before. Only thing which is not in sync is the 5.1 inch display of the HTC M9 plus, even the HTC One Max was 5.9inch. This may or may not be an error, only time will tell when HTC unveils its device/devices at MWC 2015 in Barcelona on March 1st. Source: CompuBench 1 and...

HTC M9 to come with a Dual 20 MP Back Camera and 4 Ultra Pixel Front

HTC M9 to come with a Dual 20 MP Back Camera and 4 Ultra Pixel Front

Rumors for the HTC M9 have started coming in thick and fast as the Mobile World Congress 2015 gets closer and closer. A very strong leak has confirmed that the new HTC One M9 a.k.a Hima will be sporting  Dual 20MP Cameras at the back and a 4 Ultra Pixel camera in the front. The layout maybe similar to that of HTC’s current flagship the HTC One M8 with dual flash. These are still rumors but according to the sources this is very close to the truth. Will just have to wait for HTC’s event at the MWC 2015 to get the first glimpse of the device. As a lot of people preferred having a Mega Pixel shooter to an Ultra Pixel, HTC listening to these cries later introduced the HTC M8 Eye with a  13 Megapixel shooter. HTC though are not giving up hope on the Ultra Pixel technology, as they might still use it their next flag ship device. Other specs include a 5 inch 1080p LCD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB RAM and running on the latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with HTC Sense...
