Infinix Zero 3 is Infinix’s Most Powerful Device To Date

Infinix Zero 3 is Infinix’s Most Powerful Device To Date

Infinix recently celebrated their one year anniversary in Pakistan and have been continuing to create strides ever since. This year the company again impressed with a bunch of devices catered to different users including the Hot 3, Note 2 and the fan favorite Zero 3 which also happens to be the company’s flagship device of the year. Today we are going to talk about the Zero 3 and take an in depth look at what I like to call the “budget friendly beast” of a phone. Priced at just Rs. 20,899 the Zero 3 sports an impressive 5.5” full HD 1080p display and comes with a mammoth 3GB RAM which is usually found in phones priced comparatively much higher than the Zero 3. The phone is a real power house running on a Media Tek Helio X10 64 bit 2.1 GHz Octa Core processor with a IMG G6200 GPU making multi-tasking quite smooth and HD videos to run without any evident lag. Other specs include a 20MP Sony camera and an 5MP front camera with front facing flash to make those perfect night selfies come out just the way you want them to. As far as the devices memory is concerned, the Zero 3 comes with 16GB of onboard storage with additional support for SD card. Coming to the software side of things, the Zero 3 runs on Android 5.1.1 lollipop with a future update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow currently in the works. On top of it lies Infinix’s own XUI skin, which brings with it some cool features including tap to wake up etc. The device is currently running on XUI version 1.Z.3.3, which brought features such as screen recording and bug fixes. As mentioned earlier, the Infinix Zero 3 comes with a Exymor RS Sony IMX 230 20MP shooter at the back which can record videos up to 4K resolution (30fps). The camera software also features some professional settings if you want to play around with the ISO or shutter speed to get the perfect shot. If not, the auto mode is good enough to take random shots. In order to handle all that power, the Infinix Zero 3 runs on a 3000 mAh, on light or careful (not keeping WiFi or data on whole day) usage, then it will last you a day, but rest assured you would have to still charge the device when you go to sleep. On heavy use (wifi on whole day and gaming) we had to charge the device twice a day. So for people who looking for a longer lasting battery, then they need to consider this point. The Infinix Zero 3 comes in three...

Infinix Zero 3 – Hands On Review

Infinix Zero 3 – Hands On Review

The Infinix Zero 3 is Infinix Mobility’s flagship smartphone of 2016. There was a lot of hype about the smartphone, when it launched earlier this year. Now, does it live up to that hype? Lets find out! The Infinix Zero 3 comes with a 5.5 inch FULL HD 1080p IPS LCD Display (400 ppi) which is very sharp and is a real step up from the 720p display of the Zero 2. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, so it is sturdy enough to withstand, if it falls straight on its face. The device itself is made of up of high grade plastic, which gives the device a premium feel. The back of device is textured but quite smooth, though I personally am not a big fan of the design (curved phones have spoilt me). The device itself is a real power house, running on MediaTek’s Helio X10 64 bit 2.1 GHz Octa core processor with a IMG G6200 GPU. Not only that but the Zero 3 comes with 3GB of RAM, which makes the device a beast of a phone. Multi-tasking is quite smooth and games and HD videos run without any lag. Sticking with memory the Zero 3 comes with 16GB of internal storage with microSD card support. Now, lets talk about the camera, the Infinix Zero 3 comes with a Exymor RS Sony IMX 230 20MP shooter at the back which can record videos up to 4K resolution (30fps). The camera software also features some professional settings if you want to play around with the ISO or shutter speed to get the perfect shot. If not, the auto mode is good enough to take random shots. We have taken some sample images below and we will leave you to judge. On the front lies a 5MP camera with flash for situation where low light selfies become important. Software wise the device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and will soon be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Infinix Note 2 – Hands on Review

Infinix Note 2 – Hands on Review

Infinix has made a name for itself by coming up with good quality smartphones for a budget friendly audience. After a very successful Hot Note launch last year, the Chinese OEM has stepped up its game with this year’s device the Infinix Note 2 4G. The Note 2 4G comes with a 6 inch 720p HD IPS Display (245 ppi) which is big and bright, perfect for people who like to game or watch videos and movies on their phone. The big display also helps with surfing the web, without straining your eyes. Under the hood lies a MediaTek MT6753 64 bit Octa Core 1.3 GHz processor which is quite strong enough to play the most power hungry games such as Gods of Rome and Mortal Kombat X. The processor is supported with 2GB of RAM which helps a lot if you are a multi-tasker. The body is plastic through and through, but the device is built ergonomically very well (Thanks to the curved back), so it does not feel that it will slip from your hand at any point in time On the storage front the Note 2 comes with 16GB of internal memory with microSD card support up to 32GB. The highlight of the device is its massive 4040 mAh battery which easily lasts you 2 days of light usage and 1.5 days of moderate to heavy use. This is perfect for people who are away from a charging socket for long periods of time. Talking about charging as the device has Quick Charge support, so half and hour of charging will easily give you a day and the full charge takes just under 90 minutes, which is impressive considering the capacity of the battery. The device also has Ultra Power Saving Mode for those tricky times when you have to keep your phone running when the battery is just about to die. The Note 2 comes with a 13MP shooter at the back, which is an upgrade from the 8MP camera found in its predecessor. The camera to our surprise does take pretty good pictures, and with the help of HDR the colors pop up really well. On the front lies a 2MP shooter which comes in handy for selfie lovers. Check out the sample pictures below:     Finally lets talk about the software, the Infinix Note 2 4G runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and is upgrade-able to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. On the top of it is Infinix’s very own XUI skin, which brings with it a couple of really cool features, such as OTG support, Double Tap to Wake up display, Hand Gesture Commands and...

Infinix Hot 3 – Hands on Review

Infinix Hot 3 – Hands on Review

Infinix has done an exceptional job in bringing great devices for more than reasonable prices. Most of which do not require you to burn a hole in your pocket to get. The latest in their range of extremely budget friendly devices is the Infinix Hot 3, which costs less than $100 (PKR 9,999) which is great considering the specs. We got our hands on a test unit and took it out for a swirl. Starting things off, the Infinix Hot 3 comes with a 5.5 inch 720p HD display (267 ppi), which is quite sharp, and the colors pop out really well especially the blacks. Watching videos on YouTube on the big display is a lot of fun as well. The screen is bright enough to be used in strong sunlight, but in order to do so the brightness level has to be put on max. The device feels quite premium, even though it has a full plastic body. The curved back sure does help this cause. Despite the size of the device, one handed use is fairly easy, though a back cover would be recommended for better grip.   Under the hood lies a MediaTek MT6580 1.3GHz Quad-core processor with a Mali400-MP2 GPU which is powerful enough to handle everyday apps. Multi-tasking (max 5 apps) is not too bad either, though there are times when the 1GB RAM does fall short, especially when playing graphic intensive games such as Angry Birds Action or Mortal Kombat X. The games work well enough, it is the occasion lag which gets to you. (Well it does to me at least), Games like candy crush work very smoothly though (Yes candy crush fans out there rejoice!). While sticking with hardware for the time being the Infinix Hot 3 comes with 16GB in built storage, with microSD card support (up to 32GB) which is great considering the price of the device. Now lets talk about the cameras, the Infinix Hot 3 comes with a 8MP shooter at the back with phase detection and HDR support and a 2MP wide angle camera in the front.  The great thing about this device is that, the front camera also has flash, which is great news for selfies lovers. The pictures come out quite sharp during the day, even the night shots are decent enough. Beauty Mode, Panorama and Night Mode are the other features you get in the camera software. Voice Capture, Smile Recognition and Gesture Recognition help you in taking group selfies. The Infinix Hot 3 runs on a 3000mAh battery, which I must say gives a pretty good backup. The device easily lasts a whole day with light to moderate...
