Those rumors have in turn proved out to be true as the US based cellular giants have now officially unveiled the international version of the Droid Turbo in the form of the Moto Maxx. The device sports the exact same features found in its twin sibling, the Droid Turbo and would also be available in the ballistic nylon finish variant which initially we all thought of being a Verizon exclusive. The Moto Maxx would also be available in a metallic body finish in blue and red color variants. As far as the Moto Maxx availability is concerned, the company has started rolling out the devices to Brazil starting from today and in the mid of November for Mexico. Moto 360 gets a new color – Champagne Gold

Moto 360 gets a new color – Champagne Gold

Smart Watches are the talk of the town these days, with different OEM’s coming up with their respective watches. It is safe to say that Motorola’s Moto 360 is one of the sexiest looking smart watches out there. The watch though launched in just two colors silver and black, with silver/grey and black straps. Metal watchbands were promised to launch later in the fall for $80 extra, which made the smart watch look even more sleeker.       Motorola though gave us all a surprise when a Champagne Gold Moto 360 popped up on Amazon. The watch was quickly taken off the website, but luckily we got some nice pictures. The new color gives the watch a sophisticated look, most probably aimed for the ladies. The Gold Moto 360 was seen to have two strap sizes (18mm and 23mm). The new colored watch is supposed to be for $299 with a 2 month shipping duration.     So if you were thinking of buying the Moto 360, maybe you could wait a bit longer and grab this new color and metal...

Introducing the new heavy duty Motorola Droid Turbo with a massive 3900mAh battery and ballistic body

Introducing the new heavy duty Motorola Droid Turbo with a massive 3900mAh battery and ballistic body

Motorola have truly impressed us all this year with most of their releases. With successful launches of the 2nd generation Moto X and Moto G smartphones followed by the sleek and trendy Moto 360 smartwatch and the recently announced Nexus 6 phablet, the US based company which was in turmoil not so long ago (some say that it still remains) has managed to rapidly change their faltering fortunes with the launch of some of the most intriguing and eye catching devices in 2014. The latest entrant in the long running line of Motorola’s flagship Droid series is the “Droid Turbo”. The device truly manages to live up to its name as it promises to deliver nothing less than a turbo charged experience once its starts rolling out first to Verizon customers followed by the rest of the world.   The Droid Turbo sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC Quad-Core processor catered together with 3GB RAM, a 21MP rear camera, a 2.1 front shooter and a massive 3900 mAh  battery which according to the US cellular giants promises to last for a good 48 hours on a single charge with an additional 8 hours support with a 15 minute charge thanks to Motorola’s new Turbo Charging feature similar to one in the Google (Motorola) Nexus 6 Phablet. This is one area where Android devices have seemed to drift behind over the last few years but with these new devices, gone would be the days where even the most advanced smartphones used to offer not more then half a day or in some (rare) cases a full day on a 100% charge. As far as devices aesthetics are concerned, the Droid Turbo would be available in two variants. Motorola throughout the years are known for their excellent build quality and the Droid Turbo doesn’t fail to impress in that department. You will have a choice between either a sturdy ballistic nylon finish (the material used is different from the Kevlar fabric initially used in the previous Droid devices) that not only gives the device a rugged look and feel but also at the same time makes it extremely durable. For those of you who give preference to style over anything else, the Droid Turbo would also be available in a sleek “metalized glass” finish in red and black color variants. The device also features Qi Wireless charging option and like most Moto devices, the Droid Turbo would be running on the stock version (Vanilla) of Android KitKat with a future update for Android 5.0 Lollipop promised as well. The Droid Turbo is currently exclusive to Verizon Wireless customers...

The Google Nexus 6 – Google’s Ultimate Android Beast Has Finally Arrived

The Google Nexus 6 – Google’s Ultimate Android Beast Has Finally Arrived

Usually when Google is set to make any major announcement whether its related to a new Google product or any Google Android device for that matter, its usually done with a lot of pomp and show. That wasn’t the case this time around when the US based tech giants finally raised the curtains on the much awaited Nexus 6 smartphone running on Android 5.0 – Lollipop, Google’s latest entrant in its long running Android family. Since months we had been hearing rumors about the new Nexus device and what we might expect from it. Personally speaking I’ve been a huge Nexus fan myself. Not only because of the vanilla Android experience, a Nexus device has managed to reserve a special place in my heart. Google’s latest member to enter into the Nexus family has been manufactured by Motorola and is by far one of the most powerful Nexus devices that we have ever laid our hands on. Trust me when I say this, the Nexus 6 is indeed a beast of a device !! The phablet sports a massive 5.96” 2560×1440 QHD AMOLED display (493 ppi) bundled together with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SOC Quad core Krait 450 2.7GHz CPU, 32 and 64GB internal storage, 3GB RAM, NFC, an ambient light sensor, a powerful 3220 mAh battery with additional Qi wireless charging support catered together with a Turbo Charge feature that promises to run your new Nexus device for 6 hours on a 15 minute charge and 24 hours of use from a full charge. This new feature would definitely come in handy mainly because of the device’s massive screen size as well as the powerful specs. The one complaint that Android users had over the years was mostly related to smartphone batteries that used to run out within half a day of usage but with the Nexus 6, Google have promised to work on this nagging issue and hopefully it has now been fully resolved. Moving forward with rest of the hardware, the Nexus 6 features a powerful 13MP rear shooter with optical image stabilization, f/2.0 aperture, a dual LED ring flash (similar to the one found in Motorola’s flagship device of the year, the Moto X) and 4K video capturing capabilities at 30fps.  On the front you will find a pretty decent 2MP camera perfect for selfies and video calling. Google have also taken into their stride to deliver the perfect audio output and in doing so, have equipped their latest flagship device with two quite powerful front facing speakers. The Nexus 6 would be made available in two color variants, Cloud White and Midnight Blue.     Coming towards the software side, the Nexus 6 is one...
