As reported earlier, LG have officially announced their new Flagship device of 2014, the LG G Pro 2 at their “Knock Knock Knockin’ On” live event that took place today in Seoul and we must say the device does look impressive. Till now we had just been hearing rumors about the device’s specs but as of today those have turned out to be almost 100% correct. The G Pro 2 as many tech pundits like to call it is a “multimedia beast” specially when you talk about the device’s camera which is one of the major attractions. In recent times, LG has a knack of coming up with some amazing looking camera phones (take the Nexus 5 or the LG G2 for example) and it seems that the G Pro 2 is all set to live up to that expectation as well. The camera on the LG Pro boasts some eye-opening features including 120FPS HD recording, 4K ULTRA HD recording for playback on 4K TVs, and some software options to help you get just the right picture with focus, flash, and filters. Sounds impressive doesn’t it ? The other specs are almost the same as we had expected. Here’s a quick reminder of what this beast of a device has to offer. ASUS FonePad – A Tablet Which Can Make Actual Phone Calls

Since their incarnation, Tablets have been sweeping the world by storm and are still pretty much doing so. These days Tablets are available in all shapes, sizes and specs and mostly ranging between 7 and 10 inches. These days OEM’s have been given an opportunity to showcase their products and devices at the Mobile World Congress currently taking place in Barcelona, Spain. Among the companies who intended to stand out from the others was ASUS who announced the very first of its kind tablet called the “Fonepad” which is (you guessed it right) able to make actual phone calls. The 7 inch 1280×800 tablet comes with Intel’s Z2420 1.2 GHz mobile processor, the latest variant of portable processors based on the Intel Atom technology along with 1GB RAM and would be running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. ASUS further added that that devices would be available in the 8GB, 16GB and 32GB variants with support for additional storage made available via microSD along with a 3 megapixel camera on the rear and a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front. A few accessories were also announced at the mega event which definitely go hand-in-hand with the device. These include the VersaSleeve and Turn Case which both offer stands for viewing the tablet in an upright position for watching videos and using it as a display for other purposes.     The Fonepad is set to be made available to the general public from next month with a stated launch price in the US for $250 for the 8GB variant and €219 for the 16GB variant for our friends in Europe. The two accessories, VersaSleeve and Turn Case would be available for €19.99 and €39.99 respectively. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to be unveiled in 3 versions at MWC

Since the beginning of last month we have been hearing ongoing rumors about Samsung’s next big tablet, “The Galaxy Note 8“. Well it seems that these rumors are indeed true since it has been confirmed by representatives at Samsung. The flagship tablet is set to be released in three different types namely, the GT N5110, which has Wi-Fi only, the GT 5100, which has 3G connectivity and lastly, the GT N5105, which has 3G and LTE connectivity. No further details regarding the pricing and product specifications have not been disclosed as yet but we are anticipating it to be released worldwide on Feb 25th at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Note 8’s closest possible rival would most certainly be the iPad Mini which is currently priced at around $329 so if Samsung do want to stand face to face with Apple, then it would have to set its marketing strategies absolutely spot on !     The Mobile World Congress is still a few weeks away and we expect more details regarding the device to surface.
