One Plus 3 with 6GB RAM is now officially available for $399

After months of speculation and a ton of leaked images, the One Plus 3 has (finally) officially be launched. Through the years, we have seen One Plus come up with really good devices that have been commonly known as “flagship killers” that have all the juice to stand toe to toe with some of the biggest names in the market. As far as hardware is concerned, the One Plus 3 follows in the same footsteps as its two predecessors by offering some pretty powerful specs at an extremely reasonable price. The device sports a 5.5” Optic AMOLED 1080p Gorilla Glass 4 display with 401 ppi, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4 RAM, a 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor rear camera, an 8MP front shooter, 64GB of on board storage (with no support for an external card slot), 3000mAh battery, a  finger print scanner, USB Type-C and Android 6.0 Marshmallow running on the company’s own OxygenOS. Another noteworthy feature which the company announced was “Dash Charge” that promises to charge your phone from 0-60% in just under 30 minutes that aims at lasting a good 6-7 hours on normal usage. Unlike in the past, when one had to get an invite in order to purchase the devices, the company has decided not to go with that tradition anymore meaning you can easily place your order for the One Plus 3 today from their website. The One Plus 3 is available in two colors Graphite Grey and Soft Gold and is being retailed at $399 One Plus 3 Tech Specs at a Glance Display: 5.5-inch 1080p Optic AMOLED Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 RAM and Storage: 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage (no option for expansion) Rear Camera: 16MP Sony IMX298 with OIS, HDR, f/2.0 aperture and 4K video; Front Camera: 8MP Sony IMX179 with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi AC, 4G LTE Cat 6, GPS w/ GLONASS, NFC, USB 2.0 Ports: USB 2.0 Type-C, dual nano-SIM, 3.5mm audio Battery: 3,000mAh non-removable battery with Dash Charge technology (60% battery in 30 minutes of charging) Sensors: Fingerprint, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient Light, Electronic Compass Dimensions: 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35 mm,...

The 2016 Flagship Killer – One Plus 2 is Official!

The 2016 Flagship Killer – One Plus 2 is Official!

Hey folks the people at One Plus have finally launched their next flagship killer, the One Plus 2. The device as expected has crazy specs tucked in a metallic body. The One Plus 2 picks on the momentum of its predecessor with the looks, specs and pricing that reeled in so many customers. Enough said, let dive in! Design and Body The One Plus 2 is wrapped in an aluminum-magnesium alloy frame and stainless steel accents which are supposed to be jewelry-grade. The device itself comes in only one color black with dark grey sides, but has a number of removable back covers. The device originally comes with a Sandstone Black back cover. Other covers include, Rosewood, Bamboo, Kevlar and Black Apricot, priced at $27 each.  The One Plus 2 comes with a finger printer scanner and USB Type C slot, which is pretty cool. On the side of the device their is an “Alert Slider” something like that on an iPhone, but this slider has 3 options (Sound, Silent, Priority Notifications). Display and other Specs The One Plus 2 has 5.5 inch IPS FULL HD 1080p LCD Display, similar to that found on Nexus devices. The real power lies under the hood, housing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM for the 64GB version and 3GB LPDDR4 RAM with the 16GB version. Yes people there are two versions! On the battery front they have not disappointed either with a 3300 mAh non removable battery, though no wireless or Quick Charge 2.0 options. Another bad news for some maybe that it does not house a microSD card slot and NFC. This might put off some buyers but other than that it is a solid device. The One Plus 2 comes with a 13MP back camera with six layer lens for less distortion, Dual LED Flash, OIS and  Laser Auto focus. The camera is able to record 4K videos as well as slow motion videos in 720p at 120 fps. On the front is a now standard 5MP camera for those selfie lovers out there. Also, the device like its predecessor is dual sim compatible and has two nano sim card slots at the back. Software The One Plus 2 is the first device which comes with Oxygen OS 2.0 out of the box. The OS is a mixture between stock Android and Cyanogen Mod. So silky smoothness of the stock Android with some nifty features on top of it. Some of them include, gestures, dark theme with the option of choosing color accents. App permissions (which is going to come out with Android M) and an option to use it capacitive keys...
