Samsung is apparently making things very competitive for other tablet and handset manufacturers, by launching a plethora of powerful smartphones. When it comes to tablets, Sony has reportedly launched the Galaxy Tab 2 series of tablets, recently. The new Tab 2 series Galaxy tablets will sport dual core processors.

The new Galaxy tab models comes in WiFi only and 3G models, in two different form factors – a 7 inch model and a 10.1 inch model. The noticeable difference of the Galaxy Tab 2 models with the old models is that the new tabs run in the fourth version of Android – the Ice Cream Sandwich.

Other specs include:

  • 1 GB RAM
  • 16/32 GB internal storage
  • 3 Megapixel rear camera
  • VGA front camera
  • 4000 mAh battery (7 inch version) & 7000 mAh battery (10.1 inch model)

With the news of the launch of the 10.1 inch model Galaxy Note coming close, the Galaxy Tab 2 versions are considered as Samsung’s warm-up.
