Sharp to manufacture 1080p displays for phones in 2013
Phones with large displays are the in thing these days with a few noteworthy players like the Dell Streak and the Galaxy Note 2 leading the charge. Currently the largest displays on these devices were only able to support resolutions upto 720p. Chinese mobile manufacturer Oppo were the only ones to manufacture a 5 inch 1080p display for their upcoming Oppo Find 5 but now it seems that many future devices are going to get these amazing displays thanks to Japanese Electronic giants Sharp.
The company has been working on a 5 inch 1080p HD display designed to be used in smartphones, and it looks like they’re finally ready to go into production. With a 1920×1080 resolution and a pixel density of 443 this should be one of the most SHARP looking displays there are.Even though Sharp do produce their own line of Android smartphones, but like Samsung, it has no problem offering components to competitors. These high quality displays would start rolling out sometime next year and with that we can (literally) see a really bright future for our handheld devices.
