Samsung’s Next Windows Phone 8 is Codenamed Cronus
Samsung introduced their first Windows Phone 8 running smartphone the Galaxy ATIV S last year, but it has kept its main focus on Android smartphones. Nokia (now owned by Microsoft) is “the” manufacturer of Windows Phones and has established itself slowly in the market. Needless to say Samsung are not backing out of this area and according to our favorite leakster @evleaks they are about to launch a new Windows 8 running smartphone soon.
The SGH-I187 is codenamed “Cronus” and is expected to come under AT&T’s banner. Sadly when it comes to specs the only confirmed thing we know is that it will be having a 720p display, processor power or camera or anything else is still rumors only.
According to the rumors though, Cronus will have 1GB of RAM will have 8GB internal storage and would be powered by the Snapdragon 400 chipset, which is not all that powerful, but then again this smartphone is expected to be in the budget category. The device though will surely be running on Windows Phone 8, but will be GDR2 or GDR3 that will be the question.
