Android 4.4 KitKat is the elusive candy for most users at this point in time, with users starting to very slowly but gradually get the updates. Well if your one like me who just can not wait for anything official to come and is not afraid to tweak your device, then my friend you have come to the right place. What sets apart Android 4.4 from the older versions is the subtle white color instead of the blue and most of the stuff has become transparent, including the status and notification bars. If you too want your device to have transparency all over then just follow the below steps: (Remember your device has to be Rooted and running a custom ROM like CM)

  1. Install Xposed Installer
  2. Open the Xposed app and go to Downloads
  3. Download Gravity Box
  4. Go to Framework in Xposed app
  5. Click on Install/Update
  6. Then go to modules where you can see Gravity Box and tick the check box.
  7. Restart/Reboot your device
  8. Go to Gravity Box App and start tweaking.

To make the status bar transparent head on over to the Transparency Manger Mode and use the slider to adjust it. Voila Now you have a transparent status bar! Remember you can even make the notification bar transparent so just tweak away!

To get the FULL Android 4.4 KitKat experience, download GEL (Google Experience Launcher) and the Android 4.4 KiKtat Theme for CM (This works will all custom ROMS who have an option to change themes in settings) from the Google Play Store.

The settings seen on the pics are very close to what actual Android 4.4 KitKat looks like:

Again do this on your own risk, We will not be responsible for anything happening to your device during this process. Have attached a few snaps to help you out how the final thing looks like. So go ahead and share with us what tweaks do you come up with to make your device all the more awesome!
