Major updates are what all android users look forward too, no matter which company’s smartphone they use. The latest update being Android 4.4.2 (KitKat), and only a few smartphones have received that update. Samsung alone has only its Google Play Edition Smartphones running on this OS version. Well, according to an insider from Samsung, the international Galaxy S4, Note 3, Galaxy SIII and Galaxy Note 2 would be receiving the KitKat update in the coming months.

Late 1st Quarter 2104 is the time line for the update to start rolling out for the devices. Leaked firmwares for the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 are already out and the leaks for the Galaxy SIII and Galaxy Note 2 shouldn’t be far behind. The update is supposed to bring all the KitKat features to the devices including a transparent status bar, Bluetooth 4.0 and much more.

This is great news that Samsung are going to update its 2012 flagship devices with one more major update. Though it is good news for some but torture for others as there are lot of carrier and non carrier devices that have still not received the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean+) update yet. So guys just have to wait a bit more and you will have a supercharged device in no time!
